The Tranquility Base Carbon is field generator and ground plane that conditions electromagnetic fields within adjacent electronics to lower your system’s noise floor. Being the first all-new Tranquility Base redesign in over a decade, we started with a new chassis machined from a solid billet of aircraft aluminum for a 50% slimmer and 80% more rigid chassis. We then experimented with new laminates and arrived at carbon fiber for its superior response to mechanical and airborne vibrations. We then applied our most advanced EM Cell technology directly transferred from our Galileo SX PowerCell. Finally, its internal UEF Technology was transferred from our new state-of-the-art SRX cable loom. The net result is a thinner and more rigid Tranquility Base with a lower noise floor from which springs improved dynamics and soundstaging combined with smoother, more extended high frequencies.

Our Tranquility LPS features technology and innovation found in some of our most renowned products, borrowing learnings from the power supply of our Galileo SX PowerCell and employing both electromagnetic conditioning and high voltage conditioning processes common in many of our products. And to take performance further, we engineered a chassis machined from a solid billet of aircraft aluminum to act as a massive heatsink with a carbon fiber top to break up the mechanical resonance created by your stereo speakers. By powering up to 12 components, you significantly increase the impact of Tranquility Bases, Tranquility Pods and FEQ Carbons by allowing them to operate through a lower noise floor and commonly shared UEF principles.
